I am writing you to inform you that I will be closing the practice and moving out of state at the end of February 2025 to take a position on the mainland. This has not been an easy decision and has been made with much thought and consideration. I understand this may be disappointing or worrying to many of you who are currently undergoing treatment or waiting for treatment. 

 

It has been an absolute pleasure caring for you all for the past 3 years both at the Queens, HPH, Endoscopy Institute and Kuakini locations. Until 2/28/25 you may obtain copies of your records by contacting the regular office number. For medical records of procedures done in a facility please contact that facilities Medical Records Department. For office visits at the Kuakini Physician tower you may obtain copies of these records from any HPH facility’s medical records department. For records from the Queens Physician Office Building from 2021-2023 please write at hawaiicolorectal@gmail.com as this email will be monitored for record requests.

 

For access to specialty care please understand this is limited. For Colorectal Surgeons in the state of Hawaii I recommend Dr Genia Taitano in Kona who takes all insurance. Colorectal Associates is also available at Queens but please contact them for insurances accepted. For General Surgery I am advising my HPH patients to follow up with Dr Carl Tadaki at Straub and for my non HPH patients I am recommending Dr Steven Nishida at Queens or Dr Mihae Yu at Kuakini. For all patients with anal dysplasia I would recommend following up with the Clint Spencer Clinic at Queens.
